What to Consider Before buying your First Piano
This is a brief explanation of what you should understand before buying your first piano and your first musical Instrument.
1. NUMBER OF SOUNDS
Now for an adult who is primarily just wanting to learn the piano, getting a keyboard packed with lots of sounds may not necessarily be needed. However, if you want to get a keyboard for your kids, one with a vast variety of sounds would be better so as to keep the learning process fun and interesting. It all boils down to your taste and what you want to do with it really.
2. SENSITIVITY/VELOCITY
This is an important factor to consider when getting a new keyboard. The sensitivity refers to how the keys on the keyboard respond when you hit them. The harder you hit a key, the louder the sound of the note, and so on. This is a crucial aspect in developing good finger strength and independence so make sure you get a nice Key sensitive keyboard.
3. SIZE & THICKNESS
Except you just prefer mini size keys, full-size keys are a better option even if you’ve got tiny fingers. Also, as a beginner, the keys should not be too thick to press down.
4. SOUND QUALITY
While you may not necessarily need to spend a lot of money getting your first Piano, getting one that has fewer but nice quality sounds are better. It’s not about the number of sounds now but the quality of them. This will help you stick to the learning process easier.
Lastly, off the list, you’ll feel an instant connection.
