Must know before Learning any Musical Instrument
These are things you should know and might experience while learning any musical Instrument.
They are so many things you need to know as a beginner. We’ve been able to come up with a few things you might experience or do during your learning. In this article our aim is to make you understand when you find yourself behaving in a certain way or doing something, it is normal. All the pros have had the same issues. Lets Start.
1. You will definitely sound terrible at first.
I remember buying my first guitar and a friend came around and he was like ” Bros, play something for me”. I knew I was terrible but I just wanted to let him know that I didn’t entirely waste my money to buy the instrument. So I played a simple gospel song for him. Believe me, it was beyond terrible.
You have to understand that it is normal to be terrible at first.
2. There are some rules to learn.
You have to be ready to follow some musical rules and there are so many rules to follow, you can just use a nail to pick your guitar strings. You have to use the pick. And for the rules, you have to learn basic scales (an example is a major and minor scale), patterns, etc.
3. There is always someone who is better or almost better than you.
Even if you started learning at a very early age, you are still going to meet someone who is better and he or she might be a musical prodigy. Some people are born with this. You have to be ready to play your instrument because you love it and not because you want to beat someone to it.
4. People will definitely expect you to play perfectly immediately.
When this happens, just relax, time will always tell.
5. it is easy to give up.
No matter what happens, do not ever give up on anything. Things might be slow at first but just focus. Consistency is the key to playing any instrument. Even if it’s a piano, guitar, saxophone, harp, trumpet, keyboard, organ, ukulele, flute, or bass, it is always going to take time. DO NOT GIVE UP.
